Macaroni KID is a national platform, but this site is local—and it’s run by a real human who is an intregral part in this community.
I’m Jess, and I’m the local publisher for Macaroni KID North East Cincinnati. My role is simple:
to help families spend less time searching and more time actually enjoying their time together.
If you’re new here, or if you’ve subscribed and want to make the most of what this site offers, this page is your quick guide.
What You’ll Find Here (and How to Use It)
This site is designed to be a practical tool, not another thing on your to-do list.
📅 The Events Calendar
This is the heart of the site.
You’ll find:
- Family-friendly events across North East Cincinnati
- Free and low-cost options
- Library programs, festivals, classes, and seasonal happenings
How to use it best:
Check it midweek when you’re thinking ahead or on Friday when you just want ideas without scrolling multiple platforms.
📰 The Weekly Newsletter
Each week, I send a short newsletter that highlights:
- A curated set of upcoming events
- Weekend-friendly picks
- Seasonal reminders and local notes
It’s intentionally filtered—not everything, just what feels most useful and doable.
If you ever feel overwhelmed by options, the newsletter is your shortcut.
🗂️ Local Guides & Articles
You’ll also find:
- Local spotlights
- Seasonal roundups
- Guides for holidays, breaks, and weather shifts (hello, Midwest winters)
These are meant to be bookmark-worthy, not time-consuming.
And, speaking of guides:
☀️ Calling All Summer Camp Providers!
We are beginning to gather information for our 2026 Macaroni KID Summer Camp Guide, and we would love to feature local camps, programs, and enrichment opportunities for kids of all ages.
If you host a summer camp or know of a great program in our area, please send details (dates, ages served, location, themes, and contact info) to:
📩 JessicaSteele@MacaroniKid.com
Our goal is to create a go-to resource for families planning their summer, and we’re excited to highlight the amazing experiences available right here in our community.
Have an Event? You Can Add It!
This is a community-powered site.
If you’re:
- A parent
- A school
- A nonprofit
- A library
- A local organization
You can submit your own event to be included on the calendar.
👉 Submitting is free, and it helps other families discover what’s happening locally.
(And yes—I review submissions to keep things relevant and family-friendly.)
For Local Businesses & Organizations
Macaroni KID is also a way for local businesses to connect meaningfully with families in the area.
Advertising & Partnerships
Opportunities include:
- Newsletter features
- Sponsored posts
- Event promotion
- Seasonal guides and spotlights
The goal is always alignment and value—not loud or pushy advertising.
If you’re a business or organization serving families and want to explore options, I’m happy to talk through what makes the most sense.
📩 You can reach me directly through the site to start that conversation.
A Note on How I Curate
I approach this site the same way I approach my own calendar:
- With real life in mind
- With attention to energy, timing, and logistics
- With an understanding that not every weekend needs to be packed
My goal is to help you find options that actually fit your life—not add pressure to “do it all.”

If Facebook is where you tend to catch updates, reminders, and last-minute plans, that’s another great way to stay connected.
